So guys...I don't hear my fan anymore and it's starting to worry me as my temps are getting high x.x. I don't know what happened, but does anyone have experience with this...?

GPU is idling at mid-70s too after repasting, I'm so paranoid about my laptop dying on me right now >.<

I'd download hwinfo64 (or Speedfan). Former will show if fans are working, as well as a whole lot of additional information. Latter will allow manual control of fans. Then I would shut off, clean fans with compressed air. Next step would be to open the computer and make sure fan connections are intact. It would be unusual for both fans to fail simultaneously - and the GPU temp is high enough that the GPU fan should be running. Keep us posted.

Where can I see if the fans are working in HWiNFO? Looking around and can't find it, may just be blind though haha..

I've attached the picture of my HWinfo sensor screen, you can see the fan speed for the CPU and GPU (although the GPU one isn't always that accurate)

Next question..haha. When I start up my laptop, there is the really loud fan noise which always happens. After that though, my fans will either go silent (I'm assuming turn off, since my GPU decides to skyrocket in temps) or have a constantly loud fan noise, no matter what I'm doing whether its just browsing the web, idling my computer, or gaming. All these programs always show that I'm at 30% fan speed, but it's kind of hard to believe since the noise is so loud...any of you know what to do?

The fan speed % doesn't seem to work well, I just go off the RPM, I think ~4500RPM is the max.

Well that would make sense then. Mine is at 4488rpm o.o how do you adjust this?

You click on the little fan picture button and it brings up a dialog box to change the settings, never really used it much. There is more information on setting up profiles somewhere in the 6790m thread.

My VGA fan turns off during doot as well, it's never been a problem as the card isn't used much until inside windows.

Well, the thing is my fans are off.. >.< I checked the rpm using HWinFO, and only a restart or two will fix this.
