Yup I have it occasionally. I always load up Hwinfo and force fan back to normal once I have booted up. Simply load the program select a fan speed on the gpu and apply. Then quit the program. This takes the fan back to normal system operation speeds.

This would be the best way to get rid of it. It's because the 670 is not a verified card for that PC, therefore the BIOS and drivers may cause issues with it.

It's the same for me, also running a 260m. I have resorted to immediately turning the computer off again when I notice the high fan speed on the BIOS screen.

Turning it off immediately works 99% of time in bios but it is unnecessary. You can just as quickly load hwinfo once you have booted into windows and reset the fans and the system will set the fans back to normal speeds.

Or wait 5-10 mins for the fans to return to normal speeds by themselves!

I have this as well, A09 Bios. It doesn't seem to be the GPU causing it, as had it with my old AMD 5850 and still have it now with an NVidia 770m.

I find if I run any application / game that causes a change of temperature then they then settle down to normal (or I just leave it 5-10 minutes!).

    Like many, just an annoyance...

I recently bought a m15x r2, A09 bios. Fans sound like they are constantly on high, no change ever, even gaming. VERY cool temps tho!
