I originally got my M15X way back in mid 2012. It had an i5 and the 5850m. Over time, I upgraded nearly everything. It was a good time. I learned a lot by reading these forums and tinkering. I've packed this beast of a laptop around across 5 different housing moves, back and fourth across the Pacific, to work, and to grad school for just over 8 years. We had lots of adventures including it surviving a hard bike wreck with only scratches. It has never let me down. Now, it's my daughter's laptop. It's older than she is, but it still plays Guild Wars 2 on medium settings just fine. What a great laptop it was, but it's time to move on. I just ordered the MSI GL65 Leopard with an i7-10750H and RTX 2070. Looking at the specs, it should be better than my older, fully water cooled PC. I'm excited.

M15x is long past its prime. It has served admirably over the years and goes down as Alienware's most legendary computers. Enjoy your new machine!
