I have seen people flashing their video bios to overclock there gpu back to normal or close enough back to normal while on battery. I have seen a guided but the bios.rom and nvflash files or expired....could some post me a guide on how to do this or give me another link for the files if you have done it already and still have the files?

    Much appreciated!

I'm interested in knowing the answer to this as well but I think a DELL OEM 460M cannot be flashed. :(

There's actually everything you need in the guide you linked to... make a bootable USB flash driver with nvflash and flash your modded vbios...

The command "nvflash -4 -5 -6 vbiosname.rom" will force the flash procedure... so make sure your vbios isn't corrupt.

I'm not familiar with nvflash, but if you type "nvflash -?" or similar you should be a able to see a list with all possible commands... for example to see the checksum of the rom file to make sure it didn't get corrupted when copying to the memory stick.

You can't do most of the stuff with the mobile cards anyway... e.g. changing the fan control like in this guide. I recently took a look at the vbios of the 460m from an Asus G73JW, and I wasn't able to mod anything correctly. This may be different with the Dell vbios, but I haven't heard of anyone who was able to overvolt this card... so you can also simply stay with adjusting the clocks from within Windows whenever you need it.

The latest version of nibitor had support but you cannot change anything in the 460m vbios. You can in the 470m though strangely.

When I remeber correctly some clevo cards don't work properly (for a reason I don't know) when put in a M15x with the 900p screen. There's no problem with the Dell version of the card though.

I think I was the only case that the 460m didn't work with a 900p. I got the clevo version and the only time it would display is when I connect to a external monitor. I try to go into screen resolution and change it to output my native monitor but some how it doesn't recognize it.
