    Hi guys,

I have been having a very annoying issue with my M15X lately. I would be doing something like playing a game, surfing the internet, watching videos... common stuff. and then the computer's screen will go to some grayish color and make a really annoying buzzing noise and the only way to fix it is to do a hard reboot from the power button. Also sometimes is skips this whole buzzer thing and goes straight to a blue screen. When it happened the first time I was like eh whatever. But it started getting more frequent so I tried to fix it by updating every driver and BIOS, this didn't do anything so I tried to reformat the computer. Still happens... So I think is some hardware issue, but i don't know. I would just go to dell and tell them to have a look at it, but I'm currently travelling for a while so I can't. Has anyone had this problem, if so how do u go on about fixing it? See below for my specs. Thank you

    i7-820QM , GTX260M (257.88), 8GB 1333MHz RAM, 500GB HDD, BD-ROM, 1920x1080, BIOS A09 version, windows 7 home premium 64-bit. lemme know if I miss out on anything else

That is very probably a defective/dying video card. Call Dell when you can and let them walk you through the diagnostic process, hopefully as a prelude to replacing (hopefully upgrading) your 260M. Sorry.

@Mr Valle, i don't think its any heating issues i have repasted the and padded both gpu and cpu a month ago, i also cleaned the the entire heatsink so theres absolutely no dust. @The revelator, ohh noo my poor gpu! yea i tried running some of the diagnostics of the boot menu and the ones i tried were succesful so yea ill give them a call as soon as my exam is done today :/... if they upgrade my 260M to a 460M THAT WOULD BE SWEET!!... still have 2 years left on my complete cover warranty so they better be nice to me.
