Hello, I looked over the forums and could not find a problem similar to mine so I thought I'd make my own thread, and would appreciate any help you could offer. I restarted my computer and instantly realised the resolution was lower and I could not run any games. I checked DxDiag and all my GPU information says is: n/a

Although this was the case GPU-Z and many other programs detect my GPU.

It's not the first time I have had this problem, and a restart or two usually fixed it, but this time it is very, very persistent. I tried to upgrade my drivers but the installation program crashes my PC around 10% of the installation.

Any help, whether you are sure or not, would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

u can try to re-seat the card and do clean driver install in safe mode for 1st troubleshooting step.. and see how it goes...

Thanks for the feedback, tried it but unfortunately it did not work, still got the same problem, tried resetting to factory setting, then installing the latest drivers, then rolling back the drivers etc. The card is well seated, it has enough power. I just think it is not being detected when booting the PC up.

    Hey all,

I've been all over the internet and tried almost every solution possible, I could really use some fresh ideas please!

    Thanks

Did what you said, uninstalled the graphics card in safe mode, rebooted, it installed itself again, froze the PC screen during installation, but I expected it was just the screen so I left it alone for a while for the installation to finish.

Then I manually restarted the PC, and I was right back where I started. :(

i'm not sure but the card probably is going bad..., how old is it?

when u re-seat the card, do u do any cleaning to the PCI connector?

do u happen to have any friends with card that u can borrow for test?
