Hey, I recently did a scan with superantispyware and it found a trojan.agent/gen-frauder in LAUNCH_CC.exe which I think has something to do with Alienware. I removed it and ever since then the clocks on my GTX 260m have been stuck on 383/300/766 as opposed to their max of 550/950/1350. This hasn't been a problem for normal computer use but it sucks when trying to play games. Can anyone help me out?

Stealth mode? Try toggling it on and off and seeing what happens.

Afraid not. I use the stealth mode indicator too and it shows up as normal.

Yeah but had you just tried toggling it? I've had a problem where it says it is stealth off but the GPU just won't clock up. Turning it on then off again seemed to do the trick. Just try it it may help. Also what drivers are you using?

I just tried it a few time and the clocks stay the same with it off and on. I'm using 197.16 drivers as I find them the most stable. I reinstalled them but that had no effect either.

197.16?!?!?! Most people on this forum are on at least 260.99 some are even on 267.24. They are almost 1 year old. I count 10 driver releases from nvidia since then just for the 260m and a total of 115 versions released in total since 197.16 which are dated March 16th 2010. Sorry, I just recommend updating to a newer driver and seeing if that helps.

Well I have stayed away from newer drivers because they have been unstable for me when i've tried them in the past but I did just update them and it fixed my problem, hopefully they are stable for me. Thanks for your help +rep
