    hey there,

Just wanted to ask a quick question on these 2 cards. I have GT230m (notebook) and 9800GT (102 cores) (desktop)

I'm planning to move to desktop..so

    So, my question is...will 9800GT 512mb work better than 1GB 230m GT ?

I'm not too good with versions. so i thought it'd be better to ask the alienware freaks.

    Cheers!

Yes the GT 230m has 48 cores whereas the 9800 desktop has 112 (dunno why yours is 102). Basically the 9800 performs similar to a GTX 260m from the M15x.
