    Hello all,

Looked around the forums and I could not find the exact same issue I am experiencing.

    Problem

removed laptop battery and power cord - held power button for 20 secs
removed and reconnected battery on MB

    Specs
    Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.110622-1506)

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU M 620 @ 2.67GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz

i think u need to re-seat your LCD connector since it work on external monitor...

and re-install your graphic driver cleanly

Yeah that was my next thought about the connector. I just didn't want to teardown that much yet. I will try that later today.

As for the driver, I am not knowledgeable enough to answer this, but would that affect the POST being displayed?

Had the same issue on mine, could connect to external monitor so it can't be GPU, was running games on external.

I took screen apart and reseated connector, took about 30 mins. Good luck.

EDIT: It happened again. Perhaps there is something wrong with a cord. Will try to update asap.

    Somewhat Solution
Thanks otosan and DocJuan24. Reseating the display worked.

I hate to take apart components if I don't have to. I always miss a screw or something :p You guys confirmed my "go ahead" suspicion.

    Thanks again!

So I reseated the back of the LCD twice more but no go. Very frustrating as it worked the first time.

    Onto driver re install now...

Began the re install for the drivers and upon restart both screens are blank. The second monitor does not come on at all. As thought the drivers are not loaded.

At this point, I can't see anything. Thoughts?

I had a similar problem and I ended up calling Dell since I still had warranty. They decided to exchange a LCD screen for me and the problem never appeared again.
