Hi I was wondering is anyone here have a gtx 460m with a 1600x900 screen? I'm asking this because I recently got a 460m from clevo and it only work when I connect to my external 1080p monitor. I also install on my friend M15x who got a 1080p and it work. So I want to know is it just the clevo card that doing that this.

I bought the 460M from Eurocom on Ebay which I believe is the clevo one and have the 1600 x 900 screen. No issues.

Did you guy did anything special? After I install and turn it on all I can heard is the window log on. Only when I hook to an external monitor then it recognize it. I"m running on A09 bios.

I'm using laptop video2go drivers, the normal drivers wouldn't work all that well, I think 267.24 right now (which ever recent drivers had brightness control, heard about em and installed them immediately). When I first installed the card, windows loaded up and was using motherboard graphics, very basic resolution and didn't recognize the card until I installed the drivers.

    More info needed.

Do you see the BIOS load? Do you see anything BEFORE windows starts?

If no then it's unlikely to be related to the resolution of your screen.

If yes then it's likely a driver issue. Use the external monitor to coordinate a full reload of your operating system.

If you don't have another PC/laptop in the house then make sure ou at least download and save the NIC driver and/or the wireless card driver.

To rule out something you might have done when you replaced the card: put the old one back in.

    Does it work?

i know you are running BIOS A09, but still seems to me like a bios problem.

is your old card working properly?
which EC version are you using?

try reloading Bios A09 again and see if that helps.

I put in a 5850m and it work just find. I'm running on 1.18 EC. Whenever I hook up to the external monitor with 1080 the 460m work perfectly find. I try to change to multiple screen by right click and change resolution but it said my native monitor doesn't support the resolution. Try using the nvidia control panel and nothing work.

many people complained about the video2go drivers.
