What temps do you guys hit on your 680M on stock cooling.

I'm hitting 78c using thermal grizzly paste, are my temps good or are they crap?
I know grizzly is a thicker paste and doesnt like to spread, but if everything is gravy I wont bother.

What! What were you doing when it purpled screened? Try to troubleshoot the problem and we'll offer suggestions after a bit more info. I game at 850/100 and temps never exceed 81-82 degrees. I did used to game at 950/1100 but this resulted in temps around 87-89 which is a bit on the hot side for long gaming sessions.

I do have some new GC extreme and phobya XT pads to fit to try and reduce temps a bit to push the OC a bit higher and keep comfortable temps.

Purple screen like that could just be due to static build up. If you're still having problems try leaving card out of machine for a bit then whack it back in and then also try different pressure on the heatsink screws (could be another factor).

Have you tried leaving it in a non-static bag overnight? That fixed my 7970M all of 3 times!

not overnight, I'll try it today. but i think UPS screwed it up.

me and KOI were talking about the packaging and the packaging it got to me in is different to the one he sent it in.
We are filing a claim with UPS.
