I have been shuffling parts amongst my laptops in order to get ready for a sale.

Part of this shuffle was swapping out my 880M from the Sager to the M15x. Win 10 didn't like it as it would post and start loading Windows only to stop with a white screen. I chucked Win 10 and installed Win 7. Same experience even though Win 7 did install.

I know that @svl7 got the 880M running in his M15x when it came out. Mine refuses to cooperate so if anyone else tries this YMMV.

The 880M found a new home in the M17x R4 and it works perfectly fine.

Next stop is Quadro M4000m for the M15x. I will post a separate thread on that after I receive the card.

if you installed dells soundcard driver for the m15x before the gpu this is what happens. its a conflict between the hdmi sound driver from nvidia and the onboard audio driver. If you disable the sound card or use the windows 10 default driver for the m15x it should work fine. Ive had about 9 different gpus in my m15x and other the the power supply and related throttling issues they all worked great. last 2 cards i had in it were 770m (dell) and 675m (dell)

I never got to the point of installing drivers with Win 7. During the installation of the OS it never made it past the first reboot. So you are saying to disable onboard sound in the BIOS and it should work?
