I have recently upgraded my M15x video card to the 980m and unable to get the inf file updated correctly.
To my understanding this is the only file that requires to be modified.

If someone could point me in the right direction or modify the file, it would be appreciated.

I'm attempting to install the following Nvidia driver:
    461.09-notebook-win10-64bit-international-dch-whql

Trying to get this done by next weekend as its my Sons Birthday...Thanks in advance!

I gave this another try this morning using a modified nvdmi.inf posted on blazeghost's (thanks!) thread as a point of reference with no luck. Installation still fails stating the Nvidia driver is not compatible with this version of windows. Besides the modified nvdmi.inf file and booting windows with Driver Signature Enforcement disabled, am I missing something here?

I was able to sort this out last night.... 980m driver installed!

I will attach the modified nvdmi.inf for others who may need it.

Is it recommended to just install the driver or the driver with GeForce experience?

Personally I don't like GeForce Experience so usually I don't install it, unless I'm rebuilding a laptop to sell.
