So this here is my problem, my shaders i think have gotten some sort of malfunction because when a color for example is fading to a lighter color it shows it in all the colors when it should fade it. as you can probably see on these pictures, the alienware logo is supposed to fade to the lighter gray but on my computer it goes color by color, and again on my alienware start screen where you can see the red colors go color by color insted of fading. this is really starting to get annoying, so if anybody can help please do.
i have the i7 820QM and the Nvidia 260M, if that helps.

EDIT: please look at the picture to see what im saying, because it was kind of hard to explain.
EDIT: just put some links in there for the pictures...

I havent tried a diffrent driver, and yeah the pics arent showing up on my screen either, just right click on the little icon and click "Open image in new tap" and then it should pop up in image shack, but it just happened a few days ago, and i have had this driver for quite some time now....

Yeah looks like it. Or it could be something wrong with the panel but it is not as likely as a video card problem. If you figure out is wrong, I have a spare GTX 260m lying around I can sell to you. (That is if you don't have any Dell warranty anymore, in which case you can just call them to replace it)

Damn, thats sad news.... so you think i should call dell and make them replace the card? and maybe chip in and make them upgrade it to a 460m? and it cant be anything else then a bad card or connection?

EDIT: @widezu69 thanks for the offer, but i do still have the 1 year warranty that came with the computer, so to my knowledge they should replace the graphics card, im wondering if i can get them to upgrade it to the 460...

its gonna be tough to get them to replace it to a 460m, but who knows maybe you'll get lucky.

Yeah, well im fine if they just replace the 260m with another 260m, as long as it dosent take all to long, and that i wont have to go to long time without my computer...

They'll probably just give you another 260m, but it doesn't hurt to try. Maybe they'll give you a 5850 since that one was actually less in cost than even the 260m when it was available. Plus, the 5850 has more or less the same performance of the 460m.

allright guys a little update, i just called dell support (danish) today, and he controlled my computer to see what was wrong, and we came to this conclusion, im gonna reboot my alienware here a little later and if that doesent work he will send a technician over to fix it. and i have to say, dell support was absolutely amazing! he was polite and it was quick and very service minded and he told me if i needed help i should just call, and if i wanted the technician over right away he could arrange that, so i have to say that dell support isent as bad as i thought!

Alright guys, just a last thing. now that i have chosen to do a reboot, i have found out that i dont have alienrespawn installed and i dont have the disk either... so is there anyway to get this?
EDIT: so i have now rebooted my computer to the factory version, and it has seemed to help. the dell tech guy also said that it could some sort of software failure or malfunction, it seems like he was right. and i used dell data safe backup insted of alienrespawn....

Yeah, not all systems come with alienrespawn, some come with Dell data safe instead. It doesn't really matter imo. I never bothered using it, I just reinstall the whole system with the latest drivers when necessary.

Yeah, well i choose to use data safe because i thought using windows reboot would delete things like command center and all the drivers.....
