    Hey guys,

Let me start off by saying I searched the forum before hand, but didn't really come across anything specific to the symptoms my M15X is having. Anyway:

So before (ie like a year ago) when I hooked up my M15X to my TV about half the time it would register HDMI output actually being connected in sound playback options and the sound would work out of the tv speakers. The other half the time it didn't work I would usually just quickly reset the computer and when it started up again it would recognize the HDMI output and the sound would work. Unplugging and replugging the Displayport adapter didn't work. For some reason it just says not plugged in in the playback devices, not disabled or anything.

So I could live with the occasional having to reset for the sound to work, but now its a lot worse. Seems like less than 1/2 the time it'll actually register the HDMI output in sound options, the reset usually still works, but the main difference now is after say like an hour of gaming or whatever the sound will just randomly start outputting on the built in speakers and not the TV speakers. Its pretty frustrating having to reset intermittently while gaming (or just listening to music/ movies) for good sound. I'm hoping its like a driver issue or something and not a hardware issue, I think it should be software since the sound still does work outputting to the TV after a reset.

Anyone have any recommended drivers or any solution for outputting audio through HDMI consistently? Or heard of anything like this before? its quite frustrating...

Also on an unrelated note but hopefully someones heard of this: It seems like my M15x has good days and bad days. The bad days generally being, google chrome crashing everytime flash is used, when I launch Itunes and select a song, it just sits at 0:00 and doesn't play, and if for some reason if it does play selecting songs and scrolling around is unbearably slow. Randomly as well some games and applications I click just not opening. I was gonna reinstall Chrome and Itunes but than the other day they both worked perfectly. Than again today itunes sitting at 0:00 and I can't watch any youtube videos or flash content. In firefox my flash instantly freezes too. Pretty bizarre, i'm not sure what the issue would be. I thought maybe a virus wreaking havoc on my system but my scans haven't revealed anything. Its pretty frustrating having my precious system not running at full efficiency. Was debating if reinstalling Windows was my only option but I have a ton of programs that would be very tedious to find and install again. Ideally reinstalling Windows would be the absolute last resort. But I definitely can't stand my system not fulfilling its potential.

    Thanks for the help!
