    Hello!
I've been play the new MMO called Rift lately. When I first started playing I had the settings on high @ 30-40fps. Yesterday my computer crashed and my fps dropped down to the 20s then gradually started to go lower. Now its at 5 fps on high settings. When I change to low quality rendering the fps goes up to 10-15. I used to play League of Legends at 50fps+ but now its 10-20 fps.
    Anyone know what happened here?

    Nvidia Geforce GTX260M

Was the crash caused by the nVidia drivers?

First make stealth mode isn't enabled by checking the speedometer touch icon isn't brightly lit. If it isn't being caused by running in stealth mode you should try a power drain by following these steps:

    Power off the system.
    Remove AC lead and Battery.
Hold down the Alien head power button for 20+ seconds.

If you are still experiencing frame rate issues can you upload a GPU-Z log file to us after playing the game again for about 30 mins? I ask because It's possible you could be experiencing throttling. This was widely reported with the 260m especially when combined with the 720/740qm CPUs.

The throttling issues have mostly been resolved with the BIOS release of A08 so this could be a good place to start. Check what BIOS version you're running.
