    Hello i have an M15x with the above card installed supplied and fitted by a del technician. i saw on the M17x R3 Downloads page ( looking out of curiosity) that there is an urgent Vbios update for said card

    My question is

    Does this URGENT update mean myself as well? or is it just M17x R3 users ???

    I appreciate the Suggestions.

    Regards

    Richard

    All it does is raise the stock clocks and the voltage throttle up a bit. If your happy with your 460m, I would go by the saying: "If it ain't broke, Don't fix it." :p

    You will notice better preformance with that bios update.
    Did the bios upgrade for my m15x gtx 460m and the increase in preformance was excellent. :D

    just upgraded the Vbios ( got abit worried when it said wrong id and what not, but i am on and the screen is normal lol.

    default clocks are now

    core = 675
    Shader = 1350
    Memory = 1250

    so not much different to my last test. now going to run kombuster see what heat and FPS i get with defaults.

    140 avg FPS

    78'C heat.

    so the difference is the memory.

    I can get my 460m up to 830/1600/1625 and then the drivers crash. Overclocking really differers from card to card. ;)

    Well even adjusting the memory only to 1333 crashed me, so tomorrow will apply some new thermal paste and then see.
