So today I bought thermal paste today and I tried replacing it but I couldn't unscrew all the screws cause my screwdriver was dull so I put the plastic part (where power button is located) back on. But now it won't power on. I didnt harm any wires.

Edit: The power button does not light up but the alienhead on the cover of the laptop is lite up. Did I do something wrong when taking off the cover panel?

Remove the panel again and check that the ribbon cable is properly attached to the panel and the main board. Actually remove the cable and reseat it at both ends.
