My plan was to sell the WUR and with the money build a kick-a** desktop gaming rig. Today I got an email from the rep that has been following my case in which he told me that another option was to give me a $2200 refund for my system instead of the WUR, which in my opinion is a good deal, having in mind this:

    - My original m15x cost me around $2000, plus the $500 of the 3 year warranty extension, that gives a grand total of $2500.

-Those $2500 minus the $2200 of the refund yields a loss of $300 bucks.

    - Comparing my new m15x with those of the dell outlet store and some from ebay I figured that its value was of around $1800, $2100 max with the 3 years of warranty, and I think that a 5730 GPU doesn't work as a good incentive for its selling cuz that means that the buyer will have to spend another $300 on a decent gpu.

    - Accepting the refund saves me all the hassle of finding and waiting for a buyer.

So, after all this writing here is my question for any member who has had a dell refund: do they make a deposit to your bank account or just give you store credit? because if they give credit then it doesn't works very good for me since I'm buying the hardware from newegg and amazon. Thanks!

Rebates are constantly changing and have to be detailed, in how the credit is handled, in that individual offer. Almost all the rebates from Micro Center are store cards, that I use frequently. Without a copy of the rebate offer, we cant tell how you will be credited. Im guessing thats why no one wanted to answer, until 10 hours later.

I did it, I just asked here 'cuz they they take 2-3 days to answer and it's not a bad idea to have other opinions, that way I can know when an agent doesn't wants to do something but instead he's telling me that he "can't".

For the first time in all this months he answered the next day, seem's like they want to get rid of me already, I'm sure that I've been a pain in their butts for all this time lol. Anyways, he told me that the refund would be given the same way the payment was made, in my case by a bank deposit.

Then I say you should go for it :) If you're gonna custom-build a desktop you should be able to get a kickass computer for 2,2k if chip in just a little more (asuming you already have the monitor)
