    Hi,

I've read a good deal about overclocking but being a complete beginner at this I'm still a bit lost.

People talk about multipliers etc but I can't see them on Rivatuner, also the 450/400/700 etc. thing confuses me, how does that translate to what I see on the rivatuner screen?

I've attached a picture of what my Rivatuner looks like, the numbers here I can't seem to correspond to anything I've seen on the forums.

    Thanks!

Do yourself a favor and just use MSI Afterburner to overclock. It's much easier to use. :)

    MSI Afterburner

i agree, there are many easier programs to use. when talking about multipliers we are referring to cpu oc'ing that can only be done with xm cpu's.

You can try EVGA precision as well. Same thing as MSI afterburner, just looks a little different.

strangely enough when i use the same overclock with EVGA or afterburner. sometimes the screen turns black, and when it's back, it feels like it's on stealth mode, or may be even worst until you restart your laptop.

seems like rivatuner is the only software that keeps the clock, well for me at least.
