Hey, sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong area or anything, but I'm new here. Here is my problem. I recently bought the Witcher 2, and even on low settings I can only get about 15-20 fps. Everything is telling me I am capable of running it well, but it's really starting to irritate me. What can I do to make it run better? Here are my specs. Thanks in advance.

    Dual quad core i7 740 qm @ 1.73 ghz
    ATI mobility Radeon HD 5730
    4gb RAM
    Windows 7 64-bit

Is your screen 1600 or 1920?

1920 x 1080. I've scaled the resolution down to 1600, but it doesn't seem to help.

Try running at 800x600 at both high and low. If they perform the same, then there's a problem. The Witcher 2 is a very demanding game though, and a 5730m isn't that strong a card. Could be that what some people consider "playable" isn't the same from your point of view.

Ok so I got about 30-35 fps on high at 800 x 600, and and 40-50 on low at 800 x 600. It wasn't to bad of an experience, but I hate that I'm not really getting the full experience.

You can always upgrade your card. Otherwise, 1280x720 is probably the best resolution to go with.

Did you check to see if stealth mode was on?
