Hi, Im selling my M15x in 2-3 days so im kind of pressed for time.

My problem is that the disk drive wont accept any disks, it was working fine like 2 days ago, I was burning a iso with windows image burner and the operation failed, So i ejected the disk. When i came to put in another disk, the drive wouldnt accept it, as in, it was like it didnt know i was giving it the disk. The drive shows up fine in windows device manager. I tried using dells driverupdater tool for firmware but it doesnt detect the drive, Can i edit this to make it find it? Also could i just pusk the disk in with another disk all the way for it to work?

Also one mini question, When i enter my service tag, it comes up with an Optiplex computer instead of my laptop? Can i fix this somehow?

    Thanks in advance.

Try loading a bootable disk and see if it boots from the cd/dvd. (be sure bios settings allow bootable cd and it's selected...)
