Should I even bother upgrading it?

gfx/cpu/mem could do with upgrading tbh. but depends on what you do with the laptop really.

if you want to keep prices down you could upgrade the gfx to a m6000 aka 7870m for £75 on ebay at the moment, cpu to i7 920xm for around £120ish and have a top notch system dirty cheap.

or spend tons and have it better, but the system can be upgraded to keep up with or close to the latest gen tbh.
    that's my own opinion :D

Throw in an SSD for some everyday speed upgrade :)

Even a 7970m could be added if you want ever more power.

Look at my rig below. Purchased everything (including M15x) for under $1,300. It runs Watch Dogs on High/Ultra and all other games I threw at it with no lag or stuttering. Nuff said.
