    According to a forum post
    http://niche.originpc.com/showthread.php?t=4111
Stealth mode limits the usage of system power.

But I do not know how to tell if stealth mode is running or not.

Stealth mode button on media bar has a slight brightness change if pressed.
If the button is BRIGHTER than before, is stealth mode OFF or ON (limits energy usage).

On the OSD, the speedometer image will toggle appear/disappear if stealth mode is toggled on/off.

Media bar brighter = OSD speedometer icon presented
Media bar dimmer = OSD speedometer icon not presented

Would anyone tell me how to correctly identify if Stealth is ON (limits energy usage)/OFF?

    Thanks in advance.

Found info in google cache, the article was taken down by Dell....

Another cached version, also taken down... very weird, can't find an active version at any Dell support regions...

For me the stealth toggle doesn't often work.

I guess if your computer isnt throttling then stealth is off.

I always thought if the button was BRIGHTEST, then stealth mode was on...but now you've got me thinking..haha!!

there was a little program someone made which you could use to put it on/off, that was a while ago though

what id recommend doing, is running windows performance index...then running it again when pressing button

youll know then which is on/off?

the article also says you can look at the processor speed by pressing ctrl alt delete and going to performance....if its below 900mhz, stealth is on

Just run HWinfo by Techpowerup - it'll quickly tell you how your cpu is performing.

Or better yet throttlestop. 920xm doesn't really throttle in the M15x unless there is a lack of power.

So if the button is least bright, stealth is off.

If the button is brighter, stealth is on?

OOT: is there a proper way to setup throttlestop for max performance + battery saver/limit power usage setting?
