    no it will clock down to 1333 just get regular 8 gig kit

    i see, are there any brands that you specifically recommened for a normal 8gb kit?

    i have always liked gskill, im not to fond of kingston i have had 2 DOA, and my corsair 16gb work good. but i still prefer gskill.

    Actually I7-920XM WILL work on 1600 speed. Because Extreme I7 1-st gen work with 1600. At least I am 95% sure.

    i have only heard of a couple of user that have claimed to oc thru modded bios and or using set fsb. but as far as i know the 920xm is only 1066/1333

    LMAO. I was going to write a sarcasm in my previous post asking you if you heard it from Intel web site ;) It also says that "Max Memory Size is 8 GB" :D.

    If OP will do what I say, we will know for sure if it works with 1600 RAM.

    lol yeah i get that but that was before 8gb modules were developed, anyway just look thru some newegg reviews, m15x user never got them to work at 1600

    I also your G.Skill. Excellent ram. Hopefully I can find 16GB of the same stuff in the future.

    I am also pretty sure the M15x will downclock 1600mhz or higher mem to 1333mhz. If not on the chip the motherboard will downclock it. I would have to double check the HM55 chipset limits again.
