Just got done...um..checking out my M15 and found that my computer has no webcam in it, which is probably a good reason I can't get it working. Sigh. Since this machine is a refurb and I don't know a lot about the system when new, it was supposed to come with a webcam stock right?

If so maybe time to call Dell and see about getting the TV tuner it was ordered new with and getting this webcam sorted out.

There is no webcam at the top of the screen, as in the physical piece of hardware isn't there. Mine is a S&D refurb and in a previous thread I had read that the M15 is pretty famous for missing or otherwise not plugged in webcams.

Eh..I'm not overly concerned about the webcam really. A minor headache in the grand scheme of things. I wouldn't mind having the TV tuner..or maybe some other cool expresscard..also a DP to HDMI converter/cable would be nice too.

Now of course the only problem is if I inform Dell of my issue they can argue that my warranty is no longer valid, hence my reluctance to do so. This computer as things stand today needs to last me atleast 3 years ideally 5. :p
