For the life of me I can't figure out how to get the IDT Control Panel applet working? I reinstalled the drivers from Dell's site a couple of times already. Is the IDT applet even supposed to work for this model? I searched and just came up with one post with the same question as me, then the OP replied to his own post saying he figured it out without leaving any details...hate when people do that. :D

What are you having trouble with? when I have IDT installed I find it under:

Control Panel > Hardware and sound > IDT Audio control panel.

Then I go into preferences > general to get IDT to have a task bar icon so i can get to it more easily.

My problem is I don't even have the IDT Control Panel option under Hardware and Sound in the Control Panel.

I wouldn't worry too much of it. I turn off all the features anyway because I like to have the sound As Is.

Change to the classic view in the control panel and see whether you find it.

    +rep svl7! Thanks dude. I can't believe I didn't think of that myself...boy I feel stupid :D

EDIT: Actually, I couldn't find a classic view option, but just changing it to "Large Icons", or "small icons" makes the IDT control panel appear. Not sure why it wasn't appearing under "Hardware and Sound" though.

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant with classic view :D I can't see the IDT control panel with the categories view either...

    Glad it worked!

You can also use the seach box on the top right corner, and type "IDT"
