So I thought I would share that ColorWare has recently come out with a package for coloring the M15x and it is pretty cool. If you are not familiar with ColorWare they are a company who custom colors electronics. I've used them for my clients computers before and I would say that the quality is supreme.

    ColorWare - Alienware M15X

This is pretty cool. But it will be a very scarce population who will opt for the $500 price tag!

You should get a new lid and re-do it. Your glorious yellow lid would then be lying around not doing anything, I could pm you my shipping address. That's only if you are kind hearted and generous in donating.

P.S Pocket drain don't do it!

are you talking about the casing or the letting on the screen?

the casing was professionally powder coated.

the lettering is just a vinyl decal that i made up, you can take off the lettering if you get tried of it.

Wow, I'm inspired by some of the colours here. I actually know a guy with all the necessary equipment and some really high quality paints (usually does car jobs) but I'm too intimidated to try and remove the panels and I don't think taping the edges would really cut it... Can the casing be removed without dismantling the guts of the machine to the extent that it would require completely rebuilding?

Thanks! I want to print my alienname and put it on the front (where people can actually see it). What material should I use? I want it to go on the inside of the lid, just below the screen
