After numerous days of research i saw that the 6970m or 6690m was probably the best choice of upgrade for my sad little gtx 240M. I couldnt find a radeon for a good price so i decided to drop 250$ on a 570M because it was a good price and the 560M was only 50 dollars less. I have the latest drivers installed too ^______^ runs like a beauty

Why didn't you get a 670M for a bit more?

Did you check the marketplace while you were shopping? I saw a 6990M go for just $270 a few days back :D

Seriously though the 570M is still miles better than the 240M. Enjoy it.

How much is that card and do you ship to Canada? Do I have to modify it before putting into my M15x? I'm planning on upgrading my M15x so I'm considering buying new GPU. Btw, how much was that card used?

The card is now listed in the market place. I will ship the card to Canada, PayPal only, and only verified addresses. As far as I know the 6990m should be plug and play on an M15x.

Yeah I saw that. Pretty much threw it away. It would have sold at $250 easily within a week on here!! Which is very fast on the forums. Some don't have alot of patience.

Hello! I have recently got hold of a 570M to throw in my M15x. Only problem is that my machine does not recognize it. The only thing in my device manager is the standard VGA graphics adapter. When I put the 260M back in it comes back up in the device manager. I have the latest Nvidia driver installed. If I try to reinstall it though with the 570M in it doesn't work because it can't find compatible hardware. Is there a modded driver that will make this card work or is the card dead? If it's dead I should be able to get my cash back.
I also have an M18x R2 and I spent today putting the 570M in there to see if it worked but with no luck either. Should the 570M be just a plug and play upgrade?
    Cheers!
