Out of curiosity, what network speed through wifi N do you guys get on the M15x ?

My throughput seems to max out at 11MB/s
It never connects at 300Mbit, max. 144MBit

I have tried different routers, access point enabling and disabling all things.
I tried forcing it to 5 or 2.4GHz band.
    Auto 20/40MHz or 20 only.
I'm within 3 meters range, unobstructed.

Why oh why wont it connect better and transfer faster? Is it the Intel Wifi 5300 that sucks?

The 5300 supports 3xMiMo allright, just like the 6300 btw. In theory you can get 3x150 = 450 Mbit as long as ur router does the same. I am using the 6300 @ 300 Mbit currently: let me explain: The 6300 is 3xMiMo abgn but my Linksys router is only 2xMiMo abgn, thus ,, The trick is to use a compatible abgn router doing enough MiMo, currently many routers support 2xMiMo, thus getting you the 2x150= 300Mbit. Doubling the channel from 20 to 40 Mhz in 802.11an mode only, in 802.11bgn not advised to do so, cause there is more interference with the bgn band.(spectrum only 11-13 channels wide)
I get my 300 Mbit preferred on 802.11an-40Mhz channel : The 5GHz band is just great to use: much more space, more channels, less interference, few users in my area have it, etc.

Being stuck on 11 Mbit means ur only on 802.11b, the old band, so check your router what settings it has. You want the same configuration on both nic and router to be successfull

Also know that M15x has 3 antenna's inside, just a matter of connecting them all 3 if you havent done so already, that makes the 3xMiMo possible from the nic perspective.

    Hopes this helpss

I should have written 11 megabytes per second in throughput - through 144mbit connection, sorry. Otherwise thank you, a very informative post! I will check up on things... ;)
