I'm thinking of upgrading my hard drive to a SSD drive? Is SATA 3 supported on the m15x?

    Which SSD would you recommend?

No the M15x only has Sata II. I recommend a C300 even though it is Sata III, it is good bang for buck and it is future proof when you swap computers.
