    Hey everyone,
I sent my alienware m15x in for repairs two months ago. The system was still covered under the 3-year warranty I purchased. The tech support folks I have spoken to over the phone have been helpful. BUT..the repair side of Alienware is a different story.

The system crashed after my Nvidia 8800M GTX crashed. The tech support people knew this after we tested the system online. I spoke to a tech support rep three weeks ago that noted the repair center entered a status update that all needed repair parts were in stock. And today, I get a voicemail telling me that the repair center doesn't have my replacement card in stock. The individual who didn't leave his name said I could wait on the replacement Nvidia card or accept an ATI v3700. Taking a 256MB card over a 512MB...I don't think so. On one occassion I called tech support, and the tech support guy had to place me on hold for 15 minutes because the repair center couldn't find my computer.

Seriously, what the hell alienware? Has anyone else experienced problems like this lately? If anyone from Alienware is out there, there is no way in hell I will spend another dime with you unless things improve significantly in the near future. Does anyone know if there is a complaint department number for Alienware?

I think this thread should be in the Area 51 forums if I am not mistaken.

It should be because they have a pre-Dell Alienware

You have to be really persistent with Dell tech support. When you get on the phone with them demand to speak to a manager and raise hell until you get your way. I once got "disconnected" three times in a row while trying to get a new mobo, after over 3 hours on the phone I got my mobo.

You obviously don't want your computer fixed bad enough since you're taking no for an answer.
