As title say, I bought a 460m for my m15x on ebay and I just received it.

Thing is, I have no idea what it is suposed to look like :D

Can someone confirm to me this is a 460m for a m15x ?

What is this orange thing? Is it supposed to go into the computer or it's just the green card?

    Added an image in attachement.

    Ty.
    Sorry for my noobness...

Well that's for sure not a dell 460m and nor a heat sink that will fit the M15x.

Is it at least fitting in any alienware model ? or its just a generic 460m made for other laptops ? It's written N11E on the card. I thought it was dell part # ?

Anyway the guy was announcing item as ALIENWARE part and NEW, it looks like stolen part ripped of a computer IMO...

The card should fit, just use the heatsink from your existing card. Is there some kind of frame around that card though? You'll have to remove that.

    Nice,

So it's not even a DELL card...?!

It was advertized as a NEW Alienware original part...Sounds like I've been fooled...

    I'll ask for refund.

Does it really make that much of a difference.

I would test the part, if it works, just ask for a partial refund to compensate for the false claim but keep the card.

Couldn't hurt to test it before sending it back.

269 $ for a used non dell card ? don't you really think its worth that much

and, I'm still under waranty for next 2 years...so I think it void it to install a non dell parts inside...

It's indeed not worth that price...

the card could be work though, maybe will need VBIOS flashing,

but i think refund is wiser option...

Yes a refund would be wiser cause I just sold a Dell 460m card out of my M15X for $150 shipped

+1, laptop/upgrade monkey has them for $250~ or so. Besides price, if you get a refund, I would recomend buying from them if you still want one.
