What is that supposed to do? I currently just leave it positioned to the plastic key, but the space bar feels a lot different..

I accidentally spilled juice on my keyboard. When I take out the space key and put it together again, it doesnt stick for a few hours but then sticks... I've cleaned it many times.

That bar is a stabilizer, its so that if you push the key off center it helps offset the leverage and prevent the key from just tilting sideways and instead it will go straight down.
