    Hey guys,
my Alienware m15x laptop seems to overheat and lag much more when the AC is plugged in. The stealth mode is off and it is on high performance. When I unplug it, it runs games even smoother, and it does not overheat.
This is a weird problem please help.

I used to have same frame rates both when plugged or unplugged, but that was cpu heat throttling issue. never seem laptop run faster on stealth mode though

Can you record the temps for the CPU / GPU so we can see what's going on? HWINFO would be my recommendation to do that. My guess is we should see the temps rocket in high performance mode.

Fingers crossed if this is the case a good clean out fans etc and some repasting should solve your issues.

It lags on AC because your cooling cannot handle it. You must open her up asap and clean out your fans and vents!
