    Hello,
I've had overheating problems so I purchased a cooling pad and my laptop has been fine for a few months. I travelled recently with my laptop and now it is having problems. When boot it up, it either does one of two things. The laptop turns on and will freeze between 15-60 minutes and the back (behind the fans?) will be very hot. Or Windows 7 will not boot up and there will be scroll, cap blinking with a solid num. Dell website said it is either the vid card preventing or the mobo going bad.
Is there anything I can do or is my laptop done?

when successfully booted up, could you run a log for temperatures? you can use hwinfo for that. do you have any experience opening up the laptop? you could try cleaning the dust and repasting the gpu/cpu.

when it turns itself off after those 15-60 mins, do the fans spin at full just before the laptop dies?
