I know the e-sata/usb port provides power to charge devices when the system is off, but my left hand side USB port is also behaving this way. When the system is powered off (not just on sleep mode), it will provide power to whatever USB device I have plugged in. Anyone else can try this and see if it occurs on theirs as well? I'm referring to the single USB port next to the Display Port. Thanks.

    Ok some details:

Laptop powered down, still plugged in to AC :

Left side USB provides power, ESATA port provides power (as it should), Right side USB no power

--If AC is disconnected after system is powered down, all ports stop providing power after a couple of seconds.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

Laptop put on standby. still plugged in to AC:

Left side USB provides power, Esata provides power, Right USB no power

--If AC is disconnected after being put on standby, left side USB and Esata continue to provide power

Tested with a USB powered notebook cooler.

Left side USB port DOES NOT power my USB fairy lights. Right side e-sata combo port does when machine is switched off. Weird issue you got there. Climb on the new motherboard bandwagon!

Yes I bought from that seller and had a positive experience. I did not buy from aliexpress though. I asked Terry (the seller) to send me a PayPal invoice and gave him my address etc via email. I also chose EMS shipping and it arrived in 4 days from China!!!!
