Light showing through on RH Vent

I never noticed this before,, as I usually am sitting at the laptop looking down on it, and I have only had it a couple of months.

This week though I was away on a course and took the laptop to use in the evenings for games and films etc.

As i set the laptop on a table and sat back on the bed to watch from a few feet back i was facing the laptop at eye level and noticed what looked like a spot of brighter light coming through the Right hand vent just under the dividing strip on the lefthand corner where it joins the laptop.

My first thought lookin from back a bit was that there was a hole in the mesh allowing more light through. However on close inspection i cant see any such break in the mesh, and it all looks white and complete when the light are off. My next thought was that perhaps the little black bit of plastic below the partition that blocks where the light comes from had a corner bit broken away,, hoever its very awkward to be able to see properly.

The other thought I have had is ,, my wife nocked over the laptop last week and although everything else seems fine ,, perhaps the bump has caused a LED to burn brighter in behind somewhere ??

One of the lads i know has the same m15x (although he has had his a year or so) , and i had a look and his dosent appear to do this

Im not sure if this is a fault or not, or if I have just never noticed it before. I'm obvioulsy well within the warranty period. I have put a couple of snaps underneath of it,, but the pics dont really do justice as it proved really hard to capture .

Perhaps someone has noticed this before or you could have a quick look and let me know if i should be giving the tech guys a bell.. cheers for any feedback

I have the same thing but on both sides did not see it be for but its there.

 

You do know the lightings on the speaker is just :

L.E.D + A piece of plastic + White reflective paper.

 

Shouldnt The little plastic bit that sits just under the deviding strip not join up with the devider at the left conrner and join into the laptop,, covering where the light comes from. It seems to on the one on the left side.

And on my friends his light comes through both mesh bits evenly all over. Its more noticeable when sitting in dark room,,,, looks like a little dot of bright light as if someone had poked a hole through.

 

Dont think you should worry about it. Mine has it on both sides, and it has never been dropped or anything.

Its probably just a minor flaw in the design
