    Hello

I experience terrible lagging already in the menu ( clicking very slow , windows very slow to open ,( i.E Shogun2Total War)

    I have the 15MX with
    4 go RAM
Nvidia GTX 460M with 1024 memory
    ie7 processor

The lagging is so strong that I cannot play the game at all
This doesn't happens with other games . So it shouldn't be a graphic card issue.

It use to work fine when I receive the laptop at start ; but I had to reinstall the OS .

    I don't say it's the computer ; maybe it's me ...?
but all the drivers are installed from the Source DVD and the Dell site.

    What can I do . ?

Try pressing the stealth button for a few times..it works for me.

You can run fraps in the background while playing the game and make of log of Throttlestop and GPUz in the background. Post those logs here and someone can help you out but we need more info first.

But my money is on the dreaded STEALTH button. Can't imagine why anyone would wanna go stealthy on a gaming machine. Lol.. Damn Dell and their marketing strategies. :D

Shooting in the dark: is your directX environment updated? If not or if you are not sure, just do it - one variable less to deal with :)
I recommend 'DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer'.

The stealth button is the right most button in the touch panels near the Alien Command centre button. When it is off, it is very dim and when on, it looks a little brighter than usual. Press it a few times until its dim again. I think that's your problem button right there.

Wow, that is seriously slow. Did you try toggling the stealth button? You should try it.

No, it is in the touch panel in the top right about the delete button. It has other buttons like eject, play/pause, volume and other functions. Are you sure you are using a M15x with i7 processor and not the older model with core2 duo on it.

The stealth button is only found in the touch panel and nowhere else. Search these forums for stealth mode indicator which is a handy program to have. Or you can just use the Leather Manual that comes with the system to find the stealth button.

Ya, above delete, there is a touch panel, isn't it? It's where you have eject and other touch buttons. The stealth mode is the right most "touch" sensitive button.

Ya the clock thingy is the stealth button.. Press it once to activate it and again to stop it. The brightness if the light tells you whether it's on or not. Deactivate it and play the game and then report again. I'm sure it'll be faster again.

You can't change any settings in there... It's just On or Off. I know it's pretty dumb but change the performance of the entire system completely. :D
