Hi, I just bought a Alienware M15X from Dell Outlet. I am interested in using it to play 3D Blurays on my Vizio 3DTV.

Obviously the laptop only has the obscure Displyport and not the usual HDMI port I would have expected.

Now I understand that only HDMI 1.4 (and sometimes 1.3) is powerful enough ti run 3D.

I see lots of Displayport to HDMI and Displayport to DVI type cables and adaptors but none of the HDMI cables mention being 1.4 or even 1.3 standard.

Anybody got 3D output to a LCD 3DTV to work? All components (GPU, TV etc) seem to be compatible with Nvidia 3D but don't want to pay out for an HDMI adaptor only for it to be the wrong one.

    Help is much appreciated.
