    M15x - Help please!

    can any one help me with this just bought a 680m and put it in my m15x and when i tried to boot it up i got told there was no operating system installed and i cant boot from the windows cd to try and install it again so i took it out and put my 260m back in and everythings fine could my 680m be fried please someone respond!!!!

    500gb hdd
    260m
    8gb ddr3 1333
    bios AO9

    also how do i archive previous threads

    Did you do a full power drain and then go into the BIOS and reset it after you put the 680m in?

    for sum reason when i put the 680m in it cancels out my hard drive and optical drive they dont even show up in the bios any body any ideas:/

    no how do you do a full power drain i just took the battery off and used the mains lead when i had the 680m installed everything works 100% with my 260m installed im on it right now

    just did a full power drain and tried swapping the cards again no luck :( thanks anyway JohnnyFlash

    Maybe it's because the 680m is not compatible with the m15x, it might be drawing more power than what the PC has. The best card that we officially recommend for that PC is the 460m

    okey maby thanks for all the help guys im guna return it any way and i have sold the m15x so im guns get a clevo with a 680m in it ithink

    The 680M draws less than the 7970M so it shouldn't be cancelling out components.

    Fully supported = no. Compatible = yes.
