I've read through all the debates reg going for a messenger bag vs backpacks. I've decided to go for a backpack but the questions is which one is good?

I need something that is sturdy, has space to carry my M15x and other accessories (like Xbox 360 controller, receiver, LAN cables, some books, My camera, etc). Anyone has any suggestions?

The Alienware Orion backpack is absolutely perfect for what you need to carry and you can get them fairly cheap off ebay, newegg and other places. They are a bit more expensive than your average laptop bag but you are paying for excellent quality.

any belkin or swissgear pack will do what you want it to.
alienware makes computers not bags so i wouldnt buy one from them.
plus the alienhead outside of a computer case looks.... geeky

yea i agree with the alien head really does look geeky. that and its just telling the muggers what they can get if they rob you. When i used to use a backpack for my m15x i used a North Face Surge. It has a lot of space even with the m15x in it

I recently bought the Dell XPS backpack off of ebay for $30 shipped before 10% bing cashback. That thing is awesome but it is massive. It dwarfs my Wenger/Swissgear 17" backpack. You look like you are going to a ninja war with it on.

Surprisingly enough, the Dell XPS backpack is made by Wenger/Swissgear.

Meh it depends which type you get, the one I suggested has a small alienhead and it doesn't stand out like a sore thumb. Most muggers wouldn't have a clue unless they are also performance computer enthusiasts. AW isn't exactly a household name.

The orion cases aren't really flashy; they're very simple looking and dont stand out more than any other laptop bag. Most people ask me when they see the logo, on my hat, am i one of those people who believe in aliens. Seriously...

I would figure that a mugger would look for a messenger or shoulder strap laptop case before a backpack cause many people prefer those for there laptops.

Bags & Notebook Cases - Apple Store (Canada)

Here guys. This might be from Apple, but they (by far) have the best looking, size, material and protection for 100 bucks and under. I'm gonna order a Hurley backpack. I've tried it before, its absolutely PERFECT and you can quote me on that one.

I've got the same problem for my m15x (soon to be). I was looking to buy a swissgear lancer bag, but i can't seem to find any (online) shop that sells them in belgium. Does anyone have some suggestions to where i can find one in belgium?

I just bought the Targus Voyager Backpack. I paid AUD$144.00 but I'm sure you can find it for a cheaper price.

It's very big (fits a 17.3"...) and my m15x with 9-cell battery fits nicely in it. Plus I have plenty of room for wireless keyboard, mouse, camera, cables and a sandwich ! Yes there is a thermo-regulated pocket :)
It's supposed to be rain-proof and also has an extra cover in case of very heavy rains.

I too took a while finding a good backpack for the m15x. I ended up getting the Dakine Corridor (look it up on Amazon). It was $110 but it is stylish (and not geeky like most laptop backpacks) and the m15x fits great. Dakine also has a lifetime warranty on it (north America only I think).
