M15x Freezing when the power cord is plugged in

The other day, my laptop developed a problem where it will freeze when I plug in the charger. If I have my laptop already plugged in when I turn it on, it seems to run normally, unless I take the charger out and put it back in. The computer becomes completely unresponsive when I plug in the charger while the laptop is already running, with my only option being to reboot the computer by holding down the Alienhead button.

I've run virus scans and system restored to a previous date to see if it was being caused by a program, but it is still happening, and I'm running out of ideas because I can't find anyone else online who seems to have had this problem. I don't really want to take it into a computer shop unless I have to, so if I can find a fix here, that would be great.

As I don't really want anyone to go through this issue, xkcd: Wisdom of the Ancients, I figured I would post here again. My laptop seems to be running fine now, and prior to getting it to this point, I did absolutely nothing. This is the second time my laptop has just decided to "fix itself", with the first being a problem with the keyboard lights not changing, resulting in me having 1/4 of my keyboard purple with the rest red.

So... uhhh... anyone else who has this issue of their laptop locking up when they plug into the charger, just... leave it I guess. It might fix itself.
