Hello everyone, im new to this forum even though ive stalked it ever sinec i got my m15x, lol

i have been watching many videos and reading up on the light show thingy that everyone uses with windows media player and itunes

i have tried using both to no prevail, windows media player doesnt have the alienware option under visualizations, but im really surprised at how itunes worked out.....

there is supposed to be a media plugin folder in the alienfx folder under program file on my c drive, but there is noe media plugin folder at all.....

there is supposed to be a dll file for me to copy and paste into appdata, but i cannot find the folder anywhere

i have the latest version of command center, running the A06 BIOS....

    should i maybe reinstall CC?

any help is greatly appreciated!! =]

As far as i am aware there isnt a way to do it through wmp or itunes on the M15x. The way i do it is through the alienfx program for winamp, search the M15x subforum and you will find. Cant link to it as im on my phone right now.

To see the appdata folder you need to enable the option to see hiddens files/folders. The newer alienware range specifically the M18x has the lighting option built in to run with music.

I recommend using the winamp plugin from this forum. Very easy and definitely does the job.

Thanks for the reply, i also have tried doing the winamp method, but every time i go and select the alienfx plugin from the preferences option, everything goes black and i have to restart alienfx. i set everything right, enable 3rd party applictions, disable advanced mode and still, no luck with winamp either....
