M15x Order Status Discussion

Crap I was hoping mine would ship today and be here Monday. Guess probably another week of waiting

 

i live next to TN but i ordered mine today with 1 day shipping and it suppose to be here the 30th

 

Yeah the WW link doesn't work, I had an e-mail from Dell filled with tracking information about UPS.

 

Okay So I ordered mine the 10th, and the estimated ship date was suppose to be the 23rd, and with 7 day ground delivered the 31st.

Just checked the status this morning and it is still listed as "In Production" but the EDD is now the 17th, but it's still not shipped.


Really excited now I just hope this isn't a mistake and getting my hopes up.

 

It takes awhile i ordered a m15x and then 1 week later i got it...
just depends what dell is doing i guess.. mine has one day shipping and they estimate it to be 3 weeks before it gets here

 

Can anyone see their EDD on the UPS website?

 

Nope, 2 days until estimated delivery and it's still "In Production" and no tracking number.

 

I've been checking my email vigilantly all day cause I had the vibe that the Alien would ship today, and finally at 1130 at night it ships! YES. Haha oh man my current computer is like 5 years old so this is unreal. Not to mention my most expensive electronic purchase to date. The AW is gonna have 12x the amount of ram of my current desktop! Now I can go to bed (in a few hours) peacefully. Now to get my shifts for the last half of the week covered

 

As of 8:00 am this morning it was sent to fedex. Expects to be here in 2 days. Good thing I have off work.

 

I placed my order on the 5th and I just received the shipping email, EDD is for the 23.

 

Is anyone else's status still on "Billing Information Received"? This is on the UPS tracking website.

 

I still aint received an email from UPS. A bit strange.

Where did you get the tracking information from?

 

I got an e-mail from Dell, they sent it to the same e-mail that received all of the confirmation documents when ordering over the phone.

I'd like to know detailed tracking information by the 18th at the latest, since according to the e-mail from Dell it should arrive on the 19th. Ugh, the 19th is the longest day I have at work, so it'd be so sweet if it arrived on the 18th/20th lol.

 

according to UPS' tracking site I'm still on "Billing info recieved".
but their delivery date is now the 17th Aug (Dells EDD was 19th) I get it tomorrow....as i can nip back from work to pick it up and then head back to the hotel

Are you sure you're not looking at the "Billed/Shipped on:" part, because I don't think that's the delivery date. If it is then I get mine tomorrow too, lol.

Mine just changed to In Transit, it's in Shanghai today (16th) and is in "NL" (what?) tomorrow?

 

Thats what mine did. It went to Holland (NL), and I was kind of hoping it would be here the following day, but then it went to Belgium, then to the UK. It was a bit pants really, as it was a day later than UPS originally told me (great fun swapping a day off work at 9:00am on the day you have booked)..

But good news that its on its way

 

Yeah, my beautiful machine is fully assembled and on its way . I don't mind it being a day late, that way I don't have to go through a terrible day at work thinking it's just sitting there in a box at home.

 

Right, just called Dell and my laptop is currently in the Netherlands as of 6.37 local time this morning!

Got UPS tracking number too, where does it display the EDD?

 

I can't see the EDD either lol. Only thing with a date is the Billed/Shipped on date, which I don't think is it.

 

On the Dell.com Order Status page, mine says:
Shipped Date: 8/15/10
EDD: 8/17/10 (Updated)

Then when I click the little tracking number it brings me to the fedex website which says.

8/13/10 -"Shipment information sent to FedEx".

And that's it, it hasn't even been processed out of the plant or anything. This is the first time I've used FedEx in a long time for shipping, and I must say I am very disappointed with their tracking. Especially on something I want so bad that needs to be signed for.

 

Check your e-mails, you may have been given a different tracking website. For UK members it seems on the Dell website we track via WW, however we get an e-mail from UPS with the proper tracking information. Someone from the States is going to have to quote me on that, though.

yes you could be right....who knows! tbh the only date on the UPS was that one, and as i didnt read it i assumed it was the delivery date....

I think our comps are probably stacked on top of each other right now as I have the exct same shipping info as you, not to mention from the same city

As for backpacks none of the ones I want are particularly affordable but I'm debating between either the Slappa Matrix, the Slappa Koa, and one I just heard about last night the Everki Beacon. There all like 100-130 CAD but supposed to be really solid/ roomy. I think I'm leaning towards the Everki at this point, I love the orange and black I just have to find a place that sells it to Canada.

 

Yea, the orion is not to my taste.

i bought orion who cares if i look like a fanboy...its me anyone have a problem then...well you know what they can do =)
you guys should just go for whats good and what you like if you want orion go grab it..

 

I'm not too bothered about looking like a fanboy, I don't want to pay that much as well. I like having varying labels, different watch, different shirt, different laptop, different mouse, etc. if it was all AW then I'd feel boring. Even having just two things similar, but that's just me.

I'm gonna go crazy, It says it can take up to 3 days for your tracking information to show up after it's been shipped! Hopefully it just gets delivered by then.

 

It's worth it to find out you're getting it a day early, that'd be 9 days after I ordered it (9th - 18th). Fastest I've ever seen was 10 days .

 

Well if it comes in tomorrow like scheduled that would be exactly 1 week.

Mine still says in transit in the USA, I wish it shipped as fast as my accessories, pretty much overnight. It's terrible it'll probably arrive late this week and I work wed-sun pretty much. Argh I need like atleast 24 hours straight to play with it

I didnt order an Alienware m15x, but i got the AW Aurora

3GB Triple Channel 1333mhz DDR3 (<----only 3 GB cause i was on a budget and i could get extra GB put in myself for cheaper)

500GB HDD, dont think i need that much

My order date was the 2nd and today it was changed to Shipped!
EDD is the 23rd. So for those of you who have an EDD of the 23rd and order after I did, BE PATIENT! haha, it seems like there's alot of orders especially with school coming around the corner!

I very much doubt you'll get it today, it will sit there for delivery tomorrow. :-/

It wont make you feel any better, but Im working in the building next door to it (UPS), and it was hell for me last week whilst waiting for mine!

Can I ask how you get the status of your delivery?
Do you have to make an account on DELL and buy an alienware?
If you order as a guest, do you still get the statuses?

 

Mine arrived in Tamworth about 12:30 too, they're probably on the same pallet - still means i get mine tomorrow...which means I'll get to touch / play with it Thursday evening (damn you work!!)
