I was a happy xps m1730 + 3007wfp user . Decided to upgrade on M15x. I bought it and then i realized that i can not connect it to my monitor: dell 3007wfp

as this picture shows - it can be connected only with dvi dual link cable or it will not work 2560x1600

as m15x have only vga (does not support 2560x1600) and display port i started to search for display port to dvi dual link cable. and i have found that this is not possible.

    Wiki says:
so... is it really that my only choice is to buy something like this?
DELL Display Port to Dual Link DVI Adapter : Desktop Accessories | Dell
or should i just sell my monitor and buy new one? :(

If you want to run at that resolution, then you need an active DP to Dual link DVI adapter with any monitor.
