What do I need in order to connect my M15x to my TV?

Also, will there be a drawback while playing games, hooked up to the tv, such as framerate drop?

You need a displayport to HDMI adpater and then use the HDMI cable for the TV. You can also connect via a VGA Cable. You shouldn't be seeing any frame drops. I haven't noticed any and I play on a TV lot of times.

Did you not receive a DP to HDMI connector with your laptop?

I did not. I still have the box with me. I went through it a couple of times but never found it.

I probably have it, I had some kind of display port that came with the laptop. But then again, I wouldn't know what dp to HDMI connector looks like...

It's a Male Display port with an HDMI female slot on the other end
you have to provide your own HDMI cable based off my experience

Can you tell me, where exactly in the box was this thing. Cause I still have the packaging and I pretty sure that nothing has been misplaced.

Btw, they also forgot to ship my laptop with a bluetooth module in it, I had to call them and ask to get one.

Well actually the adapter is not always included... I didn't get one either (and they also never said there would be a free adapter)
I guess it depends on where you're located.

I've bought the M15x in dell.com in USA and ship it to Miami, FL... And I got the DP-->HDMI adapter.
I did the purchase on December 2010 and was shipped on January 2011.

mine came with the adapter (HDMI to DP), and I use the TV's HDMI cable.

And no, I don't notice any FPS drops while playing with the HDTV.
