    M17x:
17 inch screen = less performance
    GTX560m GPU = better performance
sandybridge i7 CPU = better performance
raid 0 hdd = fast and more space
    16 gig RAM cap

    M15x:
15 inch screen = better performance
GTX 460m (upgrade-able to GTX470m) = better but cost half the laptop...
    i7 920xm = just as good at the sandybridge i7 2630qm
    1 suck-@$$ 5400rpm 320gig HDD
    4 gig RAM

My question is if i upgrade my M15x from an i7 720qm to a i7 920xm(laptop monkey/ebay=WIN) upgrade my HDD to the momentus-XT 500GB HHD and I upgrade my 4 Gigs of ram to 8 GIGS of ram. would I be more happy with my unit and would it run skyrim ON HIGH, or nice looking(MY ULTIMATE GOAL! DRAGON KILLING IN SKYRIM.)

Would it be worth selling my M15x for a M17x?

or should i keep and upgrade the M15x and just be happy with what i have?
(hell i just want it to run skyrim on HIGH) or sell it and get an M17x?

if i need to clarify any thing just let me know i was multitasking when i was typing this (I suck at multitasking!)

    Thanks in advance,
    Lorddinky

So you mainly want a better graphic performance? In this case simply upgrading the GPU would be the cheapest solution.

I think the 560m will work in the M15x as well, but hasn't been tried yet (of course.)
    What about a 6970m?

I only hope it's not locked as the 460m... adjustable voltage would be cool.

    get the m17x.
personally i'd try to get the sli/crossfire setup but hey...

*edit* i didn't realize you already had the m15x (half asleep)
    hmmm, skyrim even out?
i'd say hold out till skyrim comes out, especially if you want a system that can run it at ultra settings.

In the same boat. Will end up with the m17x once I sell systems. Same size, better performance and battery life.

i would go r3, buying all the upgraded parts will be about the same as selling your M15x + $$$ for r3.

You'll have to try it. If it doesn't work, you can still sell the card.

I don't think someone else is going to try it soon, the 6970m is a superior card.

Here, on the eurocom site, or probably from any other Clevo reseller. You could also PM Pkhetan (forum member here) or any of the Clevo resellers in this forum. e.g. babyhemi.

Keep us posted in case you put this card in the M15x!
