I recently updated to the latest 340 offical drivers modded for for 560m, I cant get the brghtness to change while in windows no matter what i do, tried driver cleaner , clean install but its a no go. If I roll back to 320 drivers however brightness can be changed within windows.

the only way to change brightness with 340 is while in bios startup. Any suggestions if anyone has been able to figure out the issue or other newer drivers?

That's a common behavior when you use the nVidia provided drivers instead of the DELL ones. Unfortunately, you would need to try different versions one by one until you get to one that does that for you.
