    My question is,

is the voltage output same? 19,5V ? and what about amperage? (it's not stated o tech specs on dell webpage) and main question is,

Will it work with M15x ? Any advantage or disadvantage?

    Thx for your enlightenment :)

I think this should fit , but there wont be advantages unless you overclock,

I would ask someone in the M18x forum.

I think it would work, they seem to be pretty universal across the board. Why get one so big though? The M15x can't use nearly that much power.

The board is the limiting factor, even with overclocking.

I dont think you will need an 330w even with an i7 940xm and an 6990m fully oc'ed.

Im not sure about the specs, maybe you coukd ask on the m18x section or they could post here. But i dont see the need at all for the a 330 psu unless you just happened to receive one for free, the 240 should be more than enough for the m15x. I dont think it will work, im pretty sure the m15x wont recognize it, as it does not work on an m17r2 without hardware mods.

I see, then 240W should be a wise choice... :)

240W is adequate for the M15x. If you overclock both the 920xm which you would or you wouldn:t bother getting one haha and get a 6990M or 580M and then OC it too 200+ W will be consumed quite easily.

I think if you were to push both these components to the max perhaps even the 240W adaptor would struggle!

In my opinion try the 330W at least for the sake of the community here hehe!

hehehe , but what if it doesnt work , but 240W is confirmed working in this laptop ,so its safe for him to use 240W.

240W works nicely indeed I run one. However if I found it lacking I would try the 330W instantly whether it has been tested out or not :D

    19.5 volts at 16.9 amps.

Thats for the x51 psu, the same as the m18x psu
